Meet the OTC Board
The OTC Board volunteers their time throughout the year to this worthwhile charity event, combining their passion for Tuna fishing with their passion for this great cause! The goal is always to ensure the best possible experience for the competitors as well as maximize the amount (of both fish and cash) that is donated to help feed hungry families in Oregon!

After moving back to Oregon, he became involved in all the fisheries the Northwest has to offer. As the owner and captain of Hillbilly Deluxe Sportsfishing, when not working as a VP for an Energy Storage Company, Mark can be found on the coast chasing fish, including the coveted and addictive Albacore Tuna.

He has been married to his lovely wife Karee for 25 years who is not only the love of his life, but his fishing partner on all their adventures.
Andy Karlovic
Andy moved to Oregon in the mid 70’s with his family. His father was an avid fisherman and hunter and would take Andy on all of his adventures. From a young age, he learned to appreciate all of the outdoor activities Oregon has to offer, including fishing. Andy has been a board member for the Oregon Tuna Classic since 2011. His weekdays consist of wearing a suit and tie working for an office equipment/technology company, and on the weekends you’ll find him on his boat wearing flip-flops and board shorts hunting for fish. Andy will soon retire from the corporate business world and operate a full-time charter operation out of Garibaldi Oregon. The OTC has given Andy the opportunity to have a great time helping others by raising money and food donations for the Oregon Food Bank.

Her and her husband have owned a home in Rockaway Beach for 16 years and have lived here the last 5 years. As her first year on the Board, she looks forward to being more involved as Board Treasurer and working with this great team to provide a successful event!
Randy Whitworth
After a 30 year career at the Oregon Zoo, Randy and his wife April (a new member on the OTC Board) moved to Rockaway Beach. Randy has been involved with the OTC since its second year. He and April have attended every tournament since then and placed in many of them. He has been involved in helping with some logistics of the tournament for the past few years and had the honor of delivering tuna to the Oregon Food Bank coastal locations in 2020 and will be doing the same in 2021.
Dane Winchester
Dane grew up fishing with his Dad and Grandparents, and in the early 2000s started fishing out of Garibaldi with his own boat. Dane spent nearly 20 years working for Boeing before starting a software company in 2015 and then in 2021 switching gears to focus on building houses. In 2020 he and his wife Stephanie, who is also involved with the OTC and an avid fisherman, moved to Rockaway Beach full-time to spend more time on the water. After getting their first taste of Tuna fishing in 2019 with friends, their 24′ boat “Game Changer” really became one as they signed up for the OTC the following year. Dane joined the OTC board in 2021, taking over the website, and enjoying helping out with this great cause!
Mike Susee
Event Co-chairman
Tuna and boat addiction, along with a few other bad habits if you ask his beautiful bride Stephanie are the marks for a successful Northwest fishing captain. Mike is the Captain and owner of El Jefe Offshore Fishing based out of Garibaldi, Oregon. His passion for angling and nature naturally spawned a love for the mighty Pacific Ocean to carry on his fishing adventures. Being a board member of OTC is an opportunity for Mike to give back to the community while doing what he loves alongside an amazing group of people.
Cory Logue
Cory works for a communications company in the Portland Metro area as well as being the Captain of the TraySea Lynn of TraySea Lynn Sportfishing out of Garibaldi. His wonderful wife Tracey fully supports his fishing hobby. When not fishing, he loves spending time with his three great kids and two amazing grandchildren.
Cory loves being out on the water where his passion is chasing albacore and was lucky enough to make the podium in 2019 in this great tournament. He looks forward to being part of taking this tournament, and all the good things it does, into the future.
Mike Humes
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Mike’s introduction to offshore fishing occurred when he was just eight years old. Even before he was born, he was gifted some shares in a reputable charter company based in Westport. During the summers of ’92 and ’96, he had the privilege of working on a guide boat in Alaska that specialized in salmon and halibut.
After completing his service with the United States Marine Corps, he returned to the PNW and resumed his passion for fishing. For several years, he had the pleasure of working alongside his father before his retirement. During this time, he developed insulated coolers that later led him to become involved with the Oregon Tuna Classic.
In 2016, he and his team donated these coolers to help raise funds, and over the years, he has continued to support this charitable cause by serving on the board of directors and leveraging his connections in the beverage and fishing industries to secure additional donations. As he embarks on his eighth season, Mike eagerly anticipates many more years of success, and is confident that Team ALJO will once again ascend to the podium.
